Costco Is Testing New Food Court Kiosks!
As if Amazon River's cashier-less mini-mart wasn't enough, looks like Costco decided to take a page out of their book. Costco is directly examination food kiosks at limited locations in the U.S.. Thanks to a recent video recording by Foodbeast's News Bites, we were able to get a small glimpse into this recent food kiosk system of rules.
Here's how it works: You head to one of the kiosks in the Costco food court. Choose the foods that you want to order on the screen, swipe your card, and simply head over to the tone arm windowpane! Information technology makes ordering for the family (or even grabbing a quick luncheon) that much easier.
According to Foodbeast, the position examination these kiosks is in Tustin, CA. They are also allegedly being tested in Tucson, Arizona, and Convington, Washington. We reached out to Costco for a comment, who does not have a reply at the moment.
Although this kiosk does make ordering food much easier, cashier-less shopping has certainly become a trend—and people don't exactly live how to feel for about it. Does creating an efficient cashier-liberal mini-mart, equivalent Amazon's recent jeopardize in Seattle, genuinely make for a stress-loos shopping experience? Or is it simply a room for technology to advance, kicking actual cashiers right out of their seating area? Only time will tell. Merely for now, we can entirely hope that Costco will mental testing down these new kiosks at our local locations soon.
